The duration of the programme is twelve (12) months. It does not count toward Clerkship of Articles.
At the start of the programme the graduate trainees are taken through a comprehensive induction programme, which includes topics on: the financial planning process, insurance, investments, retirement planning and financial services legislation.
The successful graduate trainees under the guidance of senior managers then also investigate actual complaints received by this Office. The candidates signs a job compact which sets out what is expected of them in so far as their performance is concerned. Their performance is then evaluated on a quarterly basis through a formal performance appraisal process.
The Skills That Make Up Success
The skills that the incumbents receive from their interaction with colleagues, complainants and respondents in an actual working environment, together with the training and mentoring we offer, enhances their marketability.
Observing the graduate trainees take their first tentative steps outside of their law lecture halls into a professional legal environment convinces us that anyone who recruits them in the future will receive well-rounded and disciplined professionals. We are very proud of this initiative and would encourage other organisations to do the same.
